Hello,
I'm starting with ocPortal and I'm trying to import a mkportal site into it to avoid loss data, but I didn't find the tool to do it. That option was deleted on version 9? I read the documentation, changes on versions, tutorials and search on forums without find anything that could help me to finish this. If is not available anymore, there is some old script that I could use like guide to modify?
Thanks!

(I didn't find "mkportal" on the list")
Login to your ocPortal website using your administrator password. Navigate to Admin Zone > Tools > Import. From this list, choose “MKPortal” and click proceed. Choose “Create a new import session, and delete any old sessions”, and click proceed.

Ah, the mkPortal importer was dropped in v9 (we decided to no longer maintain CMS importers, there are too many CMSs, and they are too costly to build/maintain), and we forgot to update our site to remove the link.

It is still supported in v8:
ocPortal Version 8.1.5 (manual) - ocPortal.com
You could therefore install v8, import mkPortal, then upgrade to v9.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Excellent! I will try that :D
By the way, as the importer was available until v8, perhaps is better keep the link and add just a note telling the option is available just until version 8 :)
Thanks!
