When using a fluid layout, the last/first avatar does not break cleanly to another row in

Oops.

I'll be able to take the wraps off the site shortly. I have all the copyright releases for everything but the artist's children still have some input.

Michael lives in Hawaii and just got to Oregon this morning to see his sister. They are going over a bunch of stuff related to the site and, from the looks of things, I will be granted "exclusive" non-exclusive access to their father's records and the family collection (meaning they are free to offer the material to others but they are in no hurry to do so).

I can hardly wait to get the site launched. It's a project that I wish I had undertaken 5 or 6 years ago while a number of people who knew the artist were still alive.

Suggestion:

Resize the 'dog' and the 'eagle' to 80px by 80px and I suspect they will all fall into place.

The originals of 'dog' and 'eagle' are 80px x 64px and 65px x 65px respectively.

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Thanks, Fletch. Worked perfectly.

I'll be changing out avatars once I get more of the artist's work to scan.

I sure look forward to the day that I can start helping but it seems like I've been away from this stuff for years instead of just over a year.

Hold you to that promise …

This is the avatar I make available to my (crusty old) users. The few that have gone for it don't use it for long. Funny that …

don't want

Yes – done too.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
