I need to migrate ocportal from my old host to new

Hi, I got a new hosting account from Hostpaedia.com while I was on Arvixe before.

I have a concrete5 site on my previous account and wanted to shift that to my new hosting account.
I had used softaculous to install that before. Can anyone guide me.
Its uptodate thanks to softaculous.

But how to migrate ?

So, do you want to migrate data from Concrete5 CMS to ocPortal or just to move ocPortal from one server to another?

If you want to migrate ocPortal from old to your new account, here are the steps:

- Change DNS record to point to your new server

- Extract ocPortal database and import it to your new account

- Migrate ocPortal files from old server to the new one

- Make changes in info.php files if it's necessary

Hi Julie,

If your looking to move between service providers, the process can be a bit tedious and complex, but it can be done!  I documented some of the process in the posting below, as I just completed a similar process towards the end of last year including a move from a SMF forum to OCP as well as a move between hosting providers.

Hopefully this helps, if you have additional questions, this forum is the best!

I am willing to have a blog and a forum. but it seems ocPortal is the combination.  the best one.

I gor the Softaculous installation tutorial from Hostpaedia Team. and its quite easy to install. I will be importing data from old to new one.
