Hi everyone,

I'm after a way of having drop down menus for the top navigation bar. I have set the menus up as 'contracted branch' but it just displays them as though they were all just normal links.

I'm sure i can find some code that does this, but im not a competent enough coder to merge third party code with ocportal code.

Is there anything already available?

Incase im not making sense, the menu im talking about is as below;

When logged into your site look in the footer for the popup menu (select page rendering tool) and select "show template edit links".  Then select the header template.

Look for where it says

Code

{$BLOCK,block=side_stored_menu,param=zone_menu,type=zone}

Change type=zone to type=dropdown

Then go back to the page rendering tools and select global.css to make a few changes there….a hint with that. If you size the window so you can still see the page behind it you can mouse over what you want to edit and it will highlight what needs to be edited. And it will show you your changes as you do them so you can get it all worked out before saving.

Just been playing around with this, thanks for your help Brian.

Is there any way to keep the look of the links the same as they were before changing them to dropdown? As drop downs they are very angular. My coding knowledge is limited to html so could do with some pointers if possible.

Lastly, the drop down menu isnt aligned to the respective menu bar option…it drops down almost centrally.  Make sense?
