Hey All! Anyone noticed any issues with picking up the current link when linking to either a gallery or CEDI? The behaviour seems inconsistant (ie: with galleries it picks up and keeps as current the first link that is clicked where as with CEDI, the "constant current" is different based on what type of menu is invoked) with regards to determined current link, but is constant in bustedness across tree, top and dropdown menu types.

*grin*, extremely problematic when using a tree menu as clicking will collapse your current menu and open the tree item of the first link clicked after the page loads.

Tree menu never stays open. Has been changed for v8 I think.

Zone menu uses a zone based currency as its template has CURRENT_ZONE not CURRENT_PAGE in it to determine that.

I think the menus work via matching page-link of menu link to stem of current URL's page-link, so e.g. if the menu link is "site:galleries" it would match "site:galleries:image:3" for example. But if it was "site:galleries:misc" it wouldn't. i.e. avoid having ":misc" on there if possible as that is implied anyway but if explicitly there would cause a non-match.

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
