Well-settled

Could anybody point me to where I need to go to change the max amount of sub-forums that are displayed?

I have a lot of sub-forums on my site due to the nature of what it is and every time I update ocportal it changes back to what is was so I end up with invisible subforums. I seem to have lost the page I used to go to with the info on!

Thanks

Thanks! All solved! So now because it is in that folder it won't reverse it every time I update?

You can now put something like this into OcCLE:

Code

:set_value('max_forum_detail','1000');

It does mean it will consume more resources to show the forumview though, as it has to organise a larger set of forums into a tree structure to render it.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
