Make menu item a branch, but link to page if clicked

I want to have a forums item (top of a branch) in my menu, but also have the menu set to dropdown and put "posts since my last visit" as child within the forums branch. I want to be able to click on both. Right now I can click on "posts since my last visit" but I can't click on forums. Essentially, I want the top of a menu branch to be a link.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to make this work?
