When a regular user is posting a message they are getting this error after they click on submitt

Warning: array_key_exists() [function.array-key-exists]: The second argument should be either an array or an object in C:\Inetpub\web\users\cyberchatnet.com\Portal\sources\site.ph

Also when I try and do the restore from install.php I am getting this error from all the backups.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ')' in C:\Inetpub\web\users\cyberchatnet.com\Portal\install.php on line 6854

These are strange problems. I'm not willing to take up your earlier offer to take a look on your server. Please send FTP passwords to me via a PT.

Become a fan of ocPortal on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Twitter.
Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Ok, I need to turn in for tonight. If I have access tomorrow, I'll take a look as soon as I'm home from work.

For now, I'll just throw out some advice…

I know I recently suggested you set up some redirect pages. The error happening is somehow related to the redirect code, but I don't know why it's happening because I've used redirect pages on many sites and the functionality should be very stable (and I can't see how the problem could happen from analysing the code). However, you may wish to temporarily remove your redirects in case that helps.

As for the backup error – we do always suggest people don't rely on ocPortal backups without testing them first, but they obviously should work. I hope to have a look at your install.php file to see what's gone wrong with it; possibly this could have been caused by a PHP timeout, but I'd have to look.

I hope that helps. I'm aware you've had a lot of problems with ocPortal since you started using it. I do want to help get all these solved, we're committed to fixing all ocPortal problems we can reproduce.
