Strange bug on my ocPortal home page. In the upper left panel, I have several menu items in “main_content”. Most work fine, but some refuse to “select” and “highlight” themselves. When you click on the menu item, it selects and highlights the menu item below itself, although the navigation to the menu item’s LINK does work.  In the details for the menu items, I can see no difference in the many that are behaving and the few that are not.
Don’t know if this screen shot will come thru, pasted below and attached. “Online Help” works, as shown. “Brochures” when clicked shows my content properly on the right panel, but selects and highligts “Documentation”, i.e. the menu item below itself.

Has anyone seen this? What is the fix?
Thanks

Ah. I suspect it is because the current page highlighting is not as smart as you think. It wasn't really designed to go down to the 'id' level, which I think you're doing here through use of Wiki+.

I'll run some tests.

I couldn't reproduce a problem actually. I wonder what the page-links of those items are.

One potential problem is if one of them is site:cedi then you'd see multiple items light up (because site:cedi is common to any Wiki+ page).

FYI, we are on the latest release.

"Link" values in the menu items that are behaving:
-   site:
-   site:cedi (for "Online Help")
-   site:downloads:type=misc:id=2
-   site:galleries:type=misc:id=pictures
-   site:catalogues:type=index:id=faqs

"Link" values that are not behaving:
-   site:downloads:type=misc:id=10
-   site:downloads:type=misc:id=9
-   site:downloads:type=misc:id=8
-   site:galleries:type=misc:id=videos

So next questions are:
1. what can I change "Online Help" Link to?
2. id = x is needed for downloads and catalogs, if we fix #1, will that allow ID level to behave?
3. Any other suggestions ;)

Thanks

New day, fresh thoughts…

add cache="0" to the block.

ocPortal caches blocks based on a context, but for performance reasons won't cache down to the page ID level. So just turn off cacheing for it.

Sorry it has taken so long to follow up, we are a software shop, just got a new release out the door.
Logged in as Admin, in trying to edit the block "side stored menu", when double clicking, get this error:

‘Guest’ does not have the privilege, ‘Use dangerous Comcode’.

Below is a screen shot of the menu attempting to go into edit mode. Any help here appreciated, I cannot find anywhere in the online help how to get around this.

Hi,

I wonder if your session was lost somewhere between getting to the zone editor and double clicking.

If you're testing on multiple browsers, or multiple people share a username, that could certainly be possible.

This particularly error message isn't particularly sophisticated: it's simply the block helper checking the current user has that privilege before allowing the block helper UI to show. Nothing to do with the existing state of blocks or the particular page being edited.

Following up: turning cache off fixed the menu item selection issue. I was able to edit the block once the base_url was properly set.

Thanks everyone for your help.
