Main_banner_wave acting strange in IE but normal in Firefox

I am using the MAIN_BANNER_WAVE block on my main page and I notice a strange behaviour in IE. The banners all line up except for the first banner which is slid to the left and sometimes stretched longer to meet the right boundry. It seems to work fine in Firefox. Is this another IE quirk?

Could it be that Amazon is using extra white space border which becomes apparent with IE?

Look at the following image for that extra white space only visible with IE.
I don't know why, but could be a place to start investigating. If I find something else, I'll let you know.

Yes, the amazon add has been little more than trouble since I put it there. but the little banners fit so well there when viewed with a medium resolution monitor. It all gets wackey when you get the higher resolution monitors. It one of the reasons I am still considering making it a fixed width site. I am not sure if the white space is part of the add or part of the ocp interaction with IE. I need to make the add fluid I think and float the banner adds maybe or maybe just isn't going to work on a fluid layout. Thanks for taking a look it, I had seen it but t so exaggerated as on your screen shot.
