Looking For Viable USA Hosting Company

I am looking for a USA-based hosting provider that is already familiar with ocPortal, installation, and basic its configuration. Do you have any suggestions?? SiteGround appears to host a lot of other CMS solutions but has anyone here have "recent" experience with them?

I use everity and hostpc as my hosts.
Everity has great support and hostpc has speedy servers, not so great support though but not as bad as 1and1.

Oh and I recommend staying as far from siteground as possible. I consider them one of the worst hosts out there. Oh and I know there is a recent post on here where some one has been having issues with siteground so may have to do some searching.

Anyone else have any recommendations for US based hosts?? I need 300 email addresses as part of the plan, however, ocPortal requirements will all that I will be needing.

I've been using hostgator and while not yet pushed the site to the public I've had no problems with running ocp to this point. The server I'm on seems very fast, Support is not the best tho I would rate it typical  

I had hostgator.com - did not have any issues with them either and would agree on the support.
They just do not allow rpg systems so if you are not planning on using the ocworld they should be fine as well.

My site was actually suspended for having an rpg, and I had more then one so it was either drop the rpg's or drop hosts.

Whats wrong with Siteground, I use it.
Sure the support sucks.
They can't deliver what they promise.
I have learned a lot bypassing there restrictions.
The white pages and error messages are kind of cool because there unique compared to any other webhosting company.

I like you, I just do not like siteground I do remember your issues and I had personal issues with them.

They do have very poor support and one issue I had was when the site used a lot of resources they just added more restrictions slowing down the site, just keep getting slower and slower from there.

But I do not have any thing against you but was thinking you did not like siteground, you had to change a lot to get ocportal to work with them.

I think I flt bad you were using them and having issues but nothing personal against you.  You seem like a nice guy.

24/7 toll free support, answers immediately, and they really know what they're talking about. Been with them for more than 3 years. Never had a problem yet.

Oh and I forgot I have had downtownhost.com for over 3 years - no issues what so ever, the account is mainly used for my brother's site but used to be used for all my sites until I ran out of space, which was actually when I got hostgator and then was suspended from them after they found out I had a rpg system, then I moved to namecheap hosting, had ftp issues and was scared of having my domains and hosting with the same company, went to crucial webhost OMG thats a bad host too was only with them a month and it about killed my site as it was so slow, then last year and 1 month ago I found everity.com and still have that one.

Oh and how I got hostpc is like this. I was doing some free support for inferno technologies and they offered me a job an free hosting so I took both, then they went under and so I switched to hostsimplex which closed down a month later so after seeing what directadmin can do I looked for a new host with directadmin instead of just moving my sites to my account on everity. So thats how i got to hostpc and also why my theme site started over a few months back as I had lost data when hostsomplex went down. Only lost a few recent posts and members with otakuplayground.com though.

I actually thought to my self i should have just stayed on everity.

Well, I appreciate all of the advice! I am familiar with the Bluehost name only, so I will start there and compare the others listed above.

If anyone has a non-portal looking site, please send me a link for styling and layout ideas! I'll be doing a magazine-style site for 300 staff attorneys.
