locating right language file

When using the ticket support system a system post is submitted into the specified forum, when this is done the system gets assigned the usergroup 'Guest user'. I want to turn that language string into 'Auto Post Babe', which file do I need to change?

I have tried changing in the ocf.ini lang file

DESCRIPTION_GUESTS=Guest user

to

DESCRIPTION_GUESTS=Auto Post Babe

cleared the language cache, clear my browsers cash, even tried resttarting my browser, the Guest user tag didn't change in the post!

Can anyone help me find where I need to make the change to make the system post group become 'Auto Post Babe' please!

Hmmmm, so it's not a language file change I need to make, that title comes from the usergroup setting in the admin thingie.

So my problem now resides in finding how the system decides it is a guest when it auto posts and then make it see itself as 'Auto Post Babe'.

I'm going in, if I don't surface soon send out a search party. ;)

Those are always going to be posted as Guest in the Guest group, but you can change the SYSTEM label for future postings. It's a lang string called 'SYSTEM' I think.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Heya Chris,
thank you for responding, really appreciate it as I know you are so very busy right now.

Okay, I actually want the SYSTEM tag to stay, it's the Guest user I wanted changing. I have opted to simply change the title in the usergroup set-up from Guest user to Auto Post Babe. I don't permit guest posting on my site so it wont cause any confusion I believe. :)
