I know you put a tremendous amount of effort into coding the OcP script and spend many sleepless nights trying to cater to user requests and issues, so please take this in the appropriate spirit (as in not meant as criticism, but suggestion)

However, to my way of thinking, it would be beneficial for 'clean' user operations if when a particular feature is turned off, or made unavailable to a particular user group, that the feature not be viewable to the user (as in presentation of a link which in turn leads to a 'denied permission' page)

I don't know if what I'm asking is readily feasible or would only come with a great amount of extra coding effort, just an insight to aid in improving a really fantastic portal product.

So with that, please enjoy a very fine day, and as usual, thanks for all the hard work.

We agree, and it's meant to work like this really. If you find anywhere that doesn't comply (e.g. the PT stuff you mentioned yesterday) just post and we'll look into it :).

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
