There was an error with implementing new style short URLs because of non-writeable htaccess. I have replaced it with recommended.htaccess from the ocPortal files and it seems to work fine though forums are partly broken down. Either someone has posted between the enabling short URLs and replacing htaccess or probably cyrillic forum names are the reason but some forums now work weird. When trying to enter them, I get an error console:
An error occurred when loading this screen onto the web browser. You are being notified of this as you are staff. If you believe this is a bug in the website software, please contact ocProducts with full details. More details are available in your browser's error console. The error was:
1: syntax error
404 Not Found -- Diablo II LoD v1.10 mod: Battle For Elements
Then I press OK I am redirected to the desired forum page but all inner URLs are broken completely
The forum with most errors URL looks like ????? - Diablo II LoD v1.10 mod: Battle For Elements
(_number because of cyrillic forum name that is not transliterating and just ommitted) but all URLs inside look like
that gives a pure 404 error with a stack trace for the URL above looks like:
An error has occurred
The requested resource does not exist. (version: 7.1.4, PHP version: 5.2.6-1+lenny13, URL: /forum/topicview/misc/_100.htm?keep_fatalistic=1)
You have turned on stack traces for all errors, via havingkeep_fatalistic=1in the URL. This means that this may not actually be a fatal error, you have just asked for it to be presented as such (perhaps to help you find where it came from).
Expanded adviceA resource (usually an entry or a category) is being referenced or linked to by name/identifier, but there is no such resource.
How did this happen?Common causes include:
If you delete something and then use your back button to try and access what you just deleted. If you follow a link to something that has since been deleted.
It is also possible that there is some form of corruption in the database. For example, an entry says it is in a category that doesn't actually exist.
How do I fix it?Fix any invalid links.
If you believe you have found a bug in the software, report it.
Here is the stack trace:Below is a stack trace revealing the state the software was in when the error occurred. If this represents a bug in the unmodified software, you may want to check ocPortal website for a fix, and if there isn't one, report this as a bug. Please note that merely posting a stack trace is not sufficient for us to solve your problem; the stack trace is just an aid that presents us with additional information. We still need to know the error message, what you tried to do, how you tried to do it, version numbers, and any other appropriate information.
We apologise for this problem and if it's a bug we hope you will work with us so that we can fix it for you promptly.
I am not sure if it will help to get back to old-style URLs, I will check this out now… just thought about it. It looks like some posts/topics/subforums are "lost" for some reason during the switching URLs style.
