After installing from Elief c-Panel Installatron

Reporting the following:

Upgrading an Installatron auto-installed test site from v. 7.1.3 to 7.1.4 revealed that the database was at v.6.

A new Installatron 7.1.4 shows the same v6 database after fresh installed according to upgrader.php.

The on-disk version of ocPortal is 7.1 and the in-database version is 6. This means a database upgrade has not yet been completed.

Jean, I used the Installatron tool on my Elief host account and the first time I tried to install ocPortal in a sub-folder but didn't create a good install. I tried the second time installing it directly in my root directory and this time it went perfectly. I don't know if where it is installed really made any difference but this what happened to me.

The Installatron is a very handy gadget.

I have just installed another installation of ocPortal using the Installatron tool. Ts time I put it in the same hosted account but in a sub-folder. Installation was breezy and quick. It created it's own separate DB for e second installation. This is so cool!

Thanks Jean, please ignore, I don't think it matters. We'll "fix" for next release though.

Friendly, glad it works now.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
