Hi,

It looks like you haven't uploaded themes/default/templates/FORM_PAGE_INPUT_LIST_ENTRY_SELECTED .tpl, which is a part of the ocPortal package.

It's also likely other files haven't been uploaded too. The reason we have the 'quick installer' is that all the individual files do not need uploading - I believe you used the manual installer in this case.

  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

I believe you're referring to our "copy installer to web-hosting" feature on ocportal.com. If this isn't functioning then you can always try uploading the install.php and data.ocp files from the quick installer download that we provide. That way you can be sure that both files are correctly uploaded.

If the data.ocp file could not be seen then almost certainly some kind of upload or storage error must have occured. It may be that your server has some kind of quota that you are trying to exceed.

The FORM_INPUT_PAGE_LIST_ENTRY.tpl is a separate file to the FORM_INPUT_PAGE_LIST_ENTRY_SELECTED.tpl file, which is what is missing.

No other suggestions come to mind, but I'd still like to assist you so if you'd like me to intervene personally to try and get ocPortal to install please start a personal topic with me with the FTP and SQL details I'll need to get it installed for you :).

Ok, I've had a look at this problem and the only definite conclusion I can come to is that this server is behaving loopy.

It looks like the PHP installation on it can't read or write files in any way, with any of the operations coming out empty. If I tried to run the PHP command to find the free disk space, it came out blank, instead of telling me the value. The weird thing is, none of the commands gave errors even though they weren't functioning - they just ran without producing results.

Uploading large files caused those files to delete as soon as they were uploaded.

I suspect either:
  • the server administrators have some very weird restrictive and non-standard settings
  • the server is malconfigured or somehow corrupt
  • the server has run out of disk space

You'll need to either talk to the administrators of the server to see if they can resolve the problem, or find a new server.

I'm sorry but asking us to list our competitors isn't appropriate. This is a server problem and I can say with complete certainty that any advanced script wouldn't work on this server.
