I've spent hours reading and searching for a database conversion tool to rearrange data from smf to ocp forum format.

I've been volunteered to revive a non profit club's website which suffered a MIA webmaster and a broken site after upgrade to smf 2.0.2.
Previous site used MKportal, gallery, and SMF with a default theme pack.
Data present includes non-paying members, Board of Director officers, former officers, paid members and paid sponsors.
I've gotten OCP with the smf forum running, and have a test location of OCP with the integrated forum which I like much better. I am not certain that the db from SMF will integrate at all, and am afraid to corrupt what I was able to save. (10 years of posts, memberlist and structure, etc.)
Just to add to my misery, it has been more than a few years since I had my hands in this, I feel overcome and undereducated.

I think you'll find 'Duck' has been working on an SMF2 importer, but I don't know how far he has got.

Do a site search for 'SMF' and author 'Duck' and see what pops up …!!

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Unless I did something wrong, search showed 0 results. I did see mention in previous searches, was hopeful that it had been addressed but not updated in the thread.

Ah, yes, it sometimes messes you about …!!

Try on the 'Forum home' page, click on 'more' ——> then try a search for SMF2 (use caps) & Duck (case sensitive) for the 'author/submitter' bit.

You should get several returns …

You're welcome. Please let me know how it went (good or bad). So far it has been working well but hasn't had the most thorough work out yet.

there's almost 10 years of posts and 250 active users, I think we are going to give it a run.
I'll work on it tomorrow, 14 hours is enough for anyone.
