Hi Oz.  Yes, just select the text, then up in the left corner you can hit the center button (it's right underneath the <> symbol).

Good luck!

Or, if you are NOT using the WYSIWYG editor, surround the caption text with …

Code

[center] ... caption text ... [/center]

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

While on the topic of the [center] tag, why doesn't this center titles? I've been wrapping titles in [HTML] and <center> tags as this does the job, however due to the fact that the <center> tag was deprecated in HTML 4.01, this leaves the page with non-compliant standards. :/

In CSS there are two forms of centering:
  • setting automatic left/right margins
  • setting text-alignment

The first only works for fixed width boxes (e.g. div's that have a non-100%/auto width). The second only works for non-boxes (inline stuff, like text and inline images).
So unfortunately there's no universal way to center stuff, and thus the 'center' tag just works on text-alignment.
