When the IOTD is displayed, it's muted as if there is a transparency to the background. When you hover your cursor over the picture, it becomes fully-opaque. I know this has something to do with the classes on the anchor tag but I can't seem to sort it out. I looked in iotds.css and found these entries that appear to affect the image based in Firebug:

Code

.iotd_admin_preview_picture {
   float: {!en_right};
}

.iotd_expose {
   overflow: hidden;
   outline: 0;
   text-align: center;
}

.iotd_expose a {
   outline: 0;
}

Can anyone point me in the right direction for making the image opaque when initially displayed (not just when hovered over)?

Thanks for any help.

Code

.img_thumb {
    border: 1px solid #869AA7;
    opacity: 0.7;
    padding: 2px;
}

in global.css, but it will probably affect all your thumbnail images …

ermmmmm… that's my CSS. Sorry. But it is the one you want …

Code

#iotd .img_thumb {
   opacity: 1 !important;
}

should keep it limited to IOTD.

That was quick. Thanks, Fletch.

So to confine it just to the IOTD, I'd need to assign a class like iodt_thumb to the picture and create the matching css in iodts.css. Am I headed in the right direction?

Thanks.

Thanks, SD.

You guys are too quick. It sure is great having a community willing to help those less-experienced.
