I uploaded a photo
all went fine
and it displays in the gallery page

but

as you can see from the attached screenshot, the image does NOT display on the home page, only its description text, and that itself is not clickable

uhm..... how can i fix?

ps: so sorry for driving you crazy about my issues with this -- its just that im taking it very seriously and i want to learn it, and i want for my site to be ready to be promoted. As it is right now, only you guys know it exists. I wont get the word out till all feature have been tested to work properly, or for me to learn how to use it properly .... whichever comes first ... lol

Im using ocPortal to create DisabilityForce.com - a place for disabled people (like me) to provide mutual support to each other, and in doing so, they are empowered to become more inclusive, successful, and contributing citizens in society. It is also for anyone who is supportive of the rights and pursuit of happiness of people with disabilities. So, on behalf of the 1.2 billion disabled people in the world, I humbly thank this community for all assistance received.

This issue has been filed on the tracker as issue #858, with a fix.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

it works!! Nice!!

Now I just how to figure how to
have the image description be right below the image,
right now ther're the image, then a blank space or two, then below that the description

So I wanted to just have the description
right below the image, without a blank line in between

But it looks good now
THANKS thanks thanks

Viva OCP!!

That will be either handled via CSS or the template. It helps to have either Chrome or Firefox with firebug or webdeveloper tools installed to help you determine what classes are being used for that particular section of outputted html then you can look them up in the templates and CSS to make changes.
