Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

IF_IN_GROUP Tags Don't Work!

I've changed around some permissions on my site using the IF_IN_GROUP tags, however, they don't work. :( I know this doesn't seem like enough information, but that's just it; they don't work. Any suggestions?

Not sure if I can use these tags here, but let me run a quick test.






if_in_group="1" You are a guest. /if_in_group
 if_in_group="2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,
20" You are logged into this website. /if_in_group

(Sorry if I confused you, but I cannot wrap tags inside tags. :P)

EDIT: I don't see anything, whether logged in or not. :/ The text wrapped in the tags are supposed to show in between the seperation lines (if you only see lines with no text in between, they don't work)

I'm a bit confused though. On my website, they simply don't work; you can still see what's inside the tags if you're a guest or logged in. On this site, nothing inside the tag is displayed.

There seems to be some thing missing from that tag.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

Hi,

The tags won't work for you on this site because of the permissions (they are 'dangerous' because they can be used to hide naughty content from staff).

However I've tried your Comcode on your site (in a preview box) and it seems ok. Perhaps it's failing in some specific context? For instance somewhere that gets cached?

I'm not sure what's happening, but as a guest, I can see hidden content which is only supposed to appear to members.

I'm wondering if the fact that I'm not using OCF has anything to do with this. Do these tags refer to OCF for group ID's? According to my Invision Board:

  • Root Admin - ID#4
  • Admin - ID#6
  • Moderator - ID#7
  • Members - ID#3
  • Validating - ID#1
  • Banned - ID#5

I'm assuming guests would be ID#2?

Ahha. That's what it's doing… it takes ID's from the board. :P I got it to work, thanks though. :)

Yeah, that's how I found the ID's, however, I got the ID's by hovering over the usergroups and looking at the link. Guests aren't 'clickable' in ACP, so I couldn't hover to see what the ID was. It was obvious the ID was #2 because that was the only ID missing. :P
