Hi, clumsey me!

I was testing to see if two admins could ban each other.

Turns out they can, but my main account is banned and it's blocked my IP address (I think, because all my devices say that I'm banned, I've also tried to clear all browsing data on all of my devices)

I've looked at my database and can't seem to find a solution.

I managed to log out as well, and still it says:
(user) does not have access etc.

Strange, why is it still blocking me? I'm not logged in.

I must be able to delete the block against me through the database…..

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

I've used the advice successfully before. If you use the 'back door' method, remember to remove it after you've gained access to your site!

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

I used it a while back. It's actually quite good and thorough.
