how can I schedule the creation of content

This is very important for me.  I need to schedule the creation of news and blog articles during the day at different hours and days.

I read the documentation and is very complicated. I have to create a lot of things in the server. I have a webhosting account in a share hosting.

with wordpress it´s very easy to publish articles at different hours and days.

I liked this portal but with this restriction, it´s very difficult to work for me.

any idea to help me ?

thanks,

You need to turn on Scheduling in Set-up. Once it is turned on you should see scheduling options when adding a news item.

First you will need to set up a cron job to call cron_bridge.php.  To have it run every minute of every hour of every day of every week of every month your job would look like this:

Code

* * * * * php /home/username/public_html/data/cron_bridge.php

Check your hosting control panel.  It most likely has a tool for doing this for you.  For example, cPanel is the most used hosting interface and has a very easy-to-use tool.  Just log in to your cPanel control panel and choose "Cron jobs" and simpley fill out the form.  for the command you need to run use:

Code

php /home/username/public_html/data/cron_bridge.php

Changing /username/ to your own username.  Once you have done that, and cron runs for the first time you'll have the option of setting the auto publish feature when you create a new news or blog entry.  (Note: I'm not sure if it is absolutely required, but anytime I make changes of that sort I always clear my site's cache from either with-in the ocPortal's Admin Zone / Tools, or by using upgrader.php.)  The section that the auto publish feature is in may not be expanded, so if you do not see the option while entering your article, click to expand the 'Advanced' section.
