How to prevent Admin from recieving points

Hi all,

How do I stop the Admin usergroup from recieving points?  Hard for others to beat me when I'm doing so much with the site. :P

Thanks,
Maurice

I don't think you can turn off that for the Admin group as the Admin has full access to everything by default.

You would have to give a normal user full access to everything (bascially making that user an admin), then place that user in it's own group. Then you can turn off the points for that group. It's a kludge, but it works.

When you create the new group, there is an option under "benefits" called "Super administrator". Do not check this as you would totally defeat the purpose of what you are trying to do.

You can achieve the same thing by editing the Administrator group and unchecking that option but you run the risk of locking yourself out.

I personally don't believe in using the administrator for anything other than making major changes to the site. That is why I created a user giving giving just enough privileges to do most everyday things and still use it as a normal user.

I do the same.

Yes, that's what I ended up doing, creating an Admin account for the big grunt work and a Super User account with Points turned off for all the other stuff, works like a charm!

Thank a bunch y'all!  :)
