how to add these thingies

I was wondering how I can make my forum area look like it is here on OCPortal, not exactly the same of course but how do I make those thingies on the left show up without losing the thingies on the top, please see red marked bits on attachment.
I did the not hide the left/right nav thing in my profile but that hid the stuff on the top and put similar stuff to the left. I'd like to be able to add stuff like a forum list and some stats on the left as well as keeping the top thingies there. Does anyone follow my prattle clearly enough to be able to figure out what I am asking, and if so can you help please.

Actuallyu, looks like custom made boxes made to appear in the forum zone.

Hee-hee, I'm so naughty at times, I am so impatient to get my site open and there's a few things I can't do just yet that are holding me up a little, getting itchy fingers.

Actually, this is the Membership Information Panel  and you are right Petrikuhr it disappear if you opt to NOT hide the left/right navigation panels. I like it as well and would want to keep it along with the other panels if it were possible.

What I know is that it is part of the OCF_MEMBER_BAR.tpl, and I think controlled by a comcode page probably something like "forum: panel_top" but I don't remember where it is. If someone who knows reads this he could probably shed more light on it.

I thought it was a custom block Jean? I imagine you can set up a custom block to do the same, on your forum zone page yes? Or in FORUM.tpl?

I myself have the "wide" set to "no" so that nifty top box doesn't appear on my forums, which is fine for me. I have all that info dedicated to a menu. I then made a custom info/greeting type comcode page (using tabs), wrapped it in a box, and put it in the FORUM.tpl

But don't go diving into tpl's without expecting to ask for some help (unless you = god programmer) lol! I pretty much camped out in the "Deploying" forum here for a bit until I got a handle on things.

Probably something best left until a bit later then, I am not too far off being able to open my site, this sounds like I need to study up a bit and just don't have enough time what with the tons of design work people on various sites ask me to create, we'll see but time is a bit of an issue for me right now.
