Well-settled

The OCP docs say that users should be able to create new CEDI pages via the [ [ pagename ] ] construct.  But when this is tried in the WYSIWIG editor, it's just parsed as regular text.  There is an "Add a Page Link" button, but honestly, what that is trying to do baffles me.  It only seems to let you link to the entry page to a section (such as the CEDI entry), and it seems like a lot of work to create a page link.

Is there a simple way for users to create new pages via the WYSIWIG?  Or do I need to disable the WYSIWIG editor entirely?

Thanks

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

This is an ocPortal-wide feature, not directly related to CEDI.

Thanks Chris.  So the "Add Page link" button just lets you add a link the "home" page of a particular section?

Can you let me know if there might be an easy way to add a "Add Child Page" button on the CEDI pages next to the "Changes" button?  I don't want to give users the full ability to change the tree structure of the whole wiki, but it would nice to let them insert a page where they want without having to edit a different page and create a page via the [ [ pagename ] ] construct.

Thanks again.

It goes down as far as existing categories. So will link to a zone, a page, or a category under a page.

Editing the interface would need to be done as extra feature development.
