My website is built around images. It is important to me that even the thumbnails look bright, vivid and inviting. I see that now images are displayed in the gallery as with lower light and are faded out from what they actually look like until you mouseover them and then they brighten to their actual appearance.

How do I switch off the fading mechanism so that the thumbnail images don't appear dim? There must be a value somewhere that reduces the luminosity I'm guessing?

I also have noticed that it doesn't affect viewing the images as faded on my cell phone, which is good in my case!

global.css:

Code

.img_thumb { /* Membership of this class is used as a tag to turn on the thumbnail blend effect */
   {$BETA_CSS_PROPERTY,opacity: 0.7;}
   max-width: 100%;
}
–>

Code

.img_thumb { /* Membership of this class is used as a tag to turn on the thumbnail blend effect */
   max-width: 100%;
}

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
