I am relatively new to adding videos to sites, so when I got one to work perfectly on one of those sub-pages, I thought I could cut and paste the working code (includes a bit of javascript) and simply insert it into the home page (ocPortal). Nope. Can anyone show me how to take the working video from this page: http://portagelakescommunity.com/classicboatshow/ and insert it into the home page of that site? I did upload it to the gallery section - and it does work there - but I'd like it to work just like the video on the above mentioned page. Thanks in advance, Erich

Code
[html]
Two reasons I think it may not have worked for you. 1) You may have missed the first line which appears earlier in the page. I did when I tried it first. 2) Because there is javascript, it is considered dangerous code, and it will only work if you have permission to use dangerous code. So depending on how your permissions are set up, you may need to make the changes as admin. This works fine on my site.

I did cut and paste the code snippet into the page, but got just the at the top of the page. Tried it twice, same thing. I checked the permissions (that I could find) and the site is currently NOT validating javascript (though it is set to validate XHTML). Is this what I should be looking at? Is all of the code that you included in your reply (references to Chrome, etc.) necessary for cross-browser compatibility? I really appreciate your help. Thanks.

OK, that looks like the edit form is in WYSIWYG mode, so its treating everything as text, including the [html] tag. There should be a Disable WYSIWYG editing option on the page. Nope. Thats about validation the structure of the html, not about users permissions. Use dangerous Comcode in Admin Zone » Security » Choose » Privileges: Comcode controls permissions for dangerous html/javascript. It looks like that chrome stuff is there just to provide feedback images to chrome users that have flash blockers running.
