I want to use the [ hide ] tag on member profiles to collapse the user statistics. I cant find a WYSIWYG editor for the page so have been looking at the template. The only hide code i can find uses java, and i want to avoid using too much java as ive been getting a lot of error messages (curse of firefox, no doubt).

The easy way to do it would be to just stick a hide tag in, which works perfectly, but i cant work out how to go about adding this to the html. Any ideas?

Most Comcode is effectively just a template being called up. So you can steal the code out of COMCODE_HIDE.tpl.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
