I am really a novice at the rewrite stuff and need a little help.

In order to use the Cloudflare CDN, the site must use the www. prefix (which I hate, but oh well). So I need to add the rewrite base and rule which I've got.

My question is does it matter where within the rewrite block it is located? Is it best to put is directly after the RewriteEngine on directive?

Thanks for any help.

Its best to keep all your RewriteRule's together and just make it the first rule as it will apply to all URL's.

Thanks, temp.

That's kind of what I thought but wanted to make sure with all the existing rules in  .htaccess.

Wow, that was so easy. I wish i could figure out my other redirect issue as easily.

My brain seems to be very determined to avoid any knowledge of regex stuff inspire of my finding a pretty good source of information (Regular-Expressions.info - Regex Tutorial, Examples and Reference - Regexp Patterns in case it will help someone else).

I keep plugging away and sooner or later I will get it.

Regex is one of my pet hates, its just so darn cryptic.  I don't use it frequently enough for it to really sink in.

Good luck. Here are another couple of reference that might help:
Regex Tester -- RegexPal
Regular Expression Library

Thanks for the links, temp.

I used to work with a guy who was like a regex god. of course, us mere mortals had no clue what he was doing. He built a nice simple processor for use in some of our other systems (time billing and membership systems) that was remarkably easy to use. He claimed it was just a pretty face running atop of regex.
