If I go to the main site's help page (main site->guide) , go into page edit mode and click save (without making any changes) an error occurs with the following information:

An error has occurred
Non-closed brace or directive in template on line 53

Should I open an account on the ocPortal bug tracker page or is it ok to report bugs here in the forum ?

Hi,

Reporting bugs here is fine for now. One day we might stop reading the forum regularly, but currently we at least scan over each topic.

I can reproduce the problem, I'll see if I can work out what is going wrong.

If I answered something that you think should be in the documentation, please take the initiative and add it to the community documentation. We really need people to help out here and build a well-organised large support resource.

I hope that you don't stop accepting bug reports from these forums. Formalised bug reporting is a real turn-off, and not nearly as engaging as forums.

Discussions can and should include bugs, and the simplicity of being able to just fire off a quick post to report an issue (an know that it will be acted on if it is determined to be a bug) is one of thinks that convinced me to stay with ocPortal.

I don't want to stop, but if it becomes a point where we get say 10x more posts, it won't be so easy for us. It's not in the foreseeable future.

That's good to hear.

But if it does come to crunch time, I hope you would consider adding an option whereby we can tag the post as a bug, with an auto generated number for you bug management/tracking needs. That way we get the best of both worlds.
