Broken pages, not detecting usergroups

Hi, I just set up ocPortal with my forum The Old Haunt: A Darkwing Duck Forum - Index page I was formerly using MKportal for my website www.negaverse.net but wanted something current and with plenty of fun features. I've been very happy with the results of ocPortal so far, but I've encountered some issues that have made it impossible for me to settle down with ocPortal.

I've been hunting around the other threads here and saw a few people with the same issue as me. Unfortunately I wasn't able to solve the problem after reading the threads, so I've decided to post my own.

I'm encountering broken pages in the admin area, particularly in the "Status" area, but it pops up in other places with the same error. Additionally, usergroups are not detected, so I cannot adjust security settings.

Here's a few screenshots:

The error on the status page: http://negaverse.net/ocerror.png

My installation options: http://negaverse.net/ocerror2.png

I'm assuming that the issue lies with my installation options and that my forum information has been entered incorrectly… I tested ocportal without my forum at (unnamed) and it works perfectly with no errors. I'm not sure where those errors would be in the version with my forum, though.

I'm a novice when it comes to php-related stuff. I have been able to set up forums, portals, and other applications without a problem, but I'm not too good with the super technical stuff. I apologize in advance if the answer is blatantly obvious and I'm just completely missing something.

Hi,

The fix for the phpBB3 problem is attached.

However I cannot approach the other problem without the full stack trace, rather than just the top of it.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Oh durr. I see now, under attachment.

The comcode_renderer worked like a charm and fixed the page errors, thank you!

Unfortunately the phpbb3 attachment didn't seem to work. It still isn't detecting my usergroups.

Trying again. I'm on my office PC now, it might be the fix was not on my home checkout.
