I am trying to get a list of paid users against their date of births.

Paid User is user group 14.

So I ran a SQL query against 'cp_f_group_members' selecting only the rows where 'gm_group_id' is equal to 14. From this I get 743 rows back, but there are actually 1364 users in the paid members group.

I looked at one member who is definitely in the paid members group and they do not have their user id against 14 in the above table - so the query is correct but not giving me what I was after.

I then wanted to look up the members table and retrieve the date of births for all the members in group 14.

Any one tried this before and got any hints as to how OCP is managing this ?

Probably cause they're primary members, look at ocp_f_members.m_primary_group field.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
