where can I change that default?

I just uploaded about 300 photos to my uploads/gallery folder.

Then I went to content management
Galleries
Import

I scrolled down to the section listing the orphan files to add them to my gallery.

I selected them all, and hit the "Proceed" button.

When it finished I went to look at my gallery to edit the captions etc.

NONE OF MY PHOTOS ARE THERE!!!!

Lovely.

I went back to the import tool, and there I notice that the "default" choice is to DELETE the orphan files!!
How does this make sense? (Kinda like Microsoft deciding to put the "stop" button in the Start menu, duh LOL)

OK, two questions:

first, where in the source files can I change the default choice for that import from "DELETE" to "Add"?

Next question:

The files I uploaded are still inside the uploads/gallery folder.
The files are NOT listed in the import tool as "orphan" so I can not select them to add them.

How can I get those photos relisted in the import tool so that I can select them and add them?

Thank You!!!!

Enjoy what ya can,

I think 4.1.10 (which I'm about to release) will do this.

The files I uploaded are still inside the uploads/gallery folder.
The files are NOT listed in the import tool as "orphan" so I can not select them to add them.

It sounds like they weren't deleted but rather added to a gallery and thus are no longer orphaned. This may have been a bug and 4.1.10 definitely fixes some behaviour problems we found here. (Sorry it was a while ago so I've forgotten exactly what was wrong.)

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

That is odd, yes, that is what happened, when I went to look at the gallery, they were all in there.
