I'm trying to use the member galleries feature but I'm running into issues. First of all, I had a hard time just getting the feature to work at all. I was definitely checking the box:

Personal category container

However, when I was logged in as a normal member I couldn't select the gallery, only the top level gallery, which I didn't have permissions to. I finally got it to work after deleting the gallery and doing it over again. It seems to be sensitive to the video setting or something. I didn't spend too much time trying to reproduce it.

Now that it's working, I'm still having troubles. Most problematic is the fact that I can add images but I cannot see them as a regular member. The image is there (the admin account can see it), but on the member account ocportal tells me that the gallery has no entries. Also, I'd like to let members edit their own gallery images, but I'm not sure that is even possible with the member galleries feature.

Maybe the best thing for me is to see a working example of this feature to see what is possible. If it does what I want, great. If what I want is not possible, then maybe I should just quit messing with it right now so I don't waste my time.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

You need to set the permissions to "Bypass validation…" which means you will not need to moderate the addition of new images.
