#Images, #Videos

I have Video only galleries and Image galleries.

In displaying these galleries, I noticed this is below each one:

(0 images, 26 videos)

(12 images, 0 videos)

If I have a video only gallery, why does it still display that there are no images in the gallery?

I want it to just display:

(26 videos)

(12 images)

We'll add support for that.

Become a fan of ocPortal on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Twitter.
Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

I have the top 10 gallery display showing on the front page. On Chrome, Safari, and Firefox I see the images loading and being displayed. But on Internet Explorer 8, only some of the images from the galleries show up. Why is this? ocPortal problem with IE? Or IE?

Would be better if you could attack a screenshot to illustrate.

Here is an IE pic. Should be a picture below Classic Rock and Experimental, but any pictures below there… aren't showing. Psychedelic was the first gallery made too.

Ah right. That helps… I am guessing there is something it does not like about the images. Check the file extension is correct for the image type, and that you don't have some exotic image encoding (like having CMYK images instead of RGB images).

My gallery comes from YouTube so I believe they are .jpg files.

So one image is: http://img.youtube.com/vi/tUMOb49XGP0/0.jpg

Must be something IE is not liking.

On another side note, without starting a new topic.

Possible for future versions of ocPortal to check for duplicate submit links so that no duplicates are entered into a gallery, such as videos from YouTube.
