I can't upgrade anymore. The FTP connection will not work even with the correct FTP information. I can use it in a normal FTP program and connect fine...but in the upgrade process, it will not connect to the FTP. Any ideas?

Try using localhost as the host name, in case perhaps the server has an internal DNS problem. Or if you were trying that, try the server's IP address.

I am assuming your server supports FTP, as some servers nowadays turn it off and only do SFTP.

Well, everything worked fine at the last update. I don't even think I had to enter the FTP info…

I have tried localhost and IP number, with and without ftp. before it, and trying sftp. as well.

I can connect to FTP fine through my regular old FTP program…

Have you tried it with leaving the FTP info blank entirely? You said it worked before, and that's very possible if it is a suexec server.

It is possible the firewall rules of the server, or the way multiple network interfaces are configured on it, stop FTP connections to itself. That comes up occasionally.

That's why you're the best! The info has always been auto-filled in there except for the password, which I never fill in, but clearing it all, it is now working fine. Thanks!
