where can I find it?

Hello,

I hope that there's someone who can help me out with my problem. I would like to create a website with oc portal. But I want the free version. The only problem is that I don't know where I can download it! I've searched the whole website, but the only subjects I seem to find is downloading the program for money. I know that there's a free version to download so I hope that one of you is kindly enough to help me out with my problem!!! please help me.

The FREE and the PAID FOR versions are identical, except that the free version carries a SMALL amount of advertising for ocPortal.

Just go to the downloads page and select the type of download you want. Follow all the instructions, set it up, and you're good to go. Ultimately, if you consider the package worthwhile, you can register for a fee, but that's a personal choice.

Good luck!

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

This url contains the software license /site/pg/licensing and you can download Ocportal by going to /site/pg/sites/get

Whaahw thanks but if I go to 'content mangement' I need to login but it doesn't seem to work. It's like my password is incorrect although i'm loged in. It's very strange. I seem to get this message: "You do not have access to the zone, adminzone (or the zone requires a session login, and you are only logged in with cookies)." I hope I can open a free website with OC portal because it seems realy cool

If the cookie domain or cookie path are incorrectly set then your login could fail. The installer would have probably guessed good defaults, but if you changed those that could be the cause. You can change your values by editing the info.php file manually or opening up the config_editor.php script on your site (by URL).

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
