Greetings,

I have decided to set the forum as the front page for the site since that is where the main activity is - my site is mainly forum after all.

I did a simple redirect to make that work:

Code

Welcome: start to Forums: forumview

It works fine and all, but there's one problem I can't seem to get (or remember how to fix)... that is how do I get that nifty forum panel top (with the user info as well) and the forum stats box thats at the bottom to redirect?

When you go to my site, on the home page you see the forum without those things. You have to click on the forum link to see them with those things. I want it to be seemless where they show up as well.

Like ocPortal? Want to thank Chris and gang somehow? Then help out in the chat room! It really needs your help! Just open it in a tab everytime you open your web browser, and when you hear a "ding", check it out!

Resolved:

I found a way to make it work, but it is a "dirty" way. I edited the panel_top comcode page and removed all that stuff that wasn't the blocks.

I edited the panel_bottom page and removed all that stuff that wasn't blocks AND removed the member panel block so it wouldn't be repeated twice.

Both panels now show on every page that supports both panels. This allows both to show on my redirected to front forumview and the bottom shows up on every other page.

It isn't a perfect solution. I suspect that they will also show up on mobile browser (will test that). I tried only removing the parts that look for specific pages but despite me perfectly counting the braces, it kept on complaining about one not being closed or too many being closed. So I said "to heck with it" and removed all the darn braces.
