Hi,
The documentation states that the queue can be managed - but where ?

I have created a couple of Flagrant Text messages as two different users, nothing appears in the bottom right as expected because I did not tick the box for immediate posting.

I cannot for the life of me find where the Flagrant text queue is moderated and managed - can some one please point me in the right direction ?

I have searched for Flagrant in the admin - but it does not help !

Thanks
Ade

Hi,

Primary link is from Admin Zone front page (in checklist).

A link to the module does come up in an Admin Zone search (under "Screens"), although you need to do a further click on the Flagrant text message management icon to see existing messages.

Will document this, and rename 'Flagrant text message management' icon to 'Edit flagrant text message' for consistency with other modules.

Hi Chris,
Ok, so I couldn't see the link in the checklist because it was completed, I can unhide it to see.

The link to the Flagrant under screens is fine - it allows me to see the messages asked for.

I take it that this is the "queue" and I think that the thing that confused me was that one of the them has to be made active to get the ball rolling. Am I then right in thinking that in the order that they are asked for they will then be activated in turn once the duration of the previous one runs out ?

I think that documentation was not clear as to how the queue starts and what order subsequent messages appear - unless I have it wrong above !

Cheers,
Ade

Hi,

It's probably unclear because the system does less than you think ;).

The queue management is a 100% manual process. Usually these messages are bought via the Point Store which sends a notification out to you to tell you about the need for manual queue management. Manually adding them is a bit of a backdoor to the process.

I'll look into what you said about the task showing as 'done'.

Plus, I'll look to make sure it is all more clear on top of the last changes.

NB: The email sent out on pointstore purchases…

A new flagrant text message has been bought from the Point Store, and has entered the queue. You need to move things through the queue yourself as the number of days bought and the scheduling is provided to you for you to use discretionally, and you will want a chance to vet messages before making them live.\n\nThe message bought is:\n{1}\n\n\nYou can control the flagrant messages queue from the checklist on the Admin Zone front page, or by going directly here:\n{2}

Also NB activation is done in the same way site polls or IOTDs is - i.e. edit and choose to make active.

Yea I think that you are right Chris !

I saw queue and immediately thought that there was some automated control.

Is the only check that the text will be removed once its duration has expired and that the next one will have to be turned on manually ?

The Admin Zone front page will flag up the task once the existing one is past its time.

I have just fixed it so that if there is something in the queue and no active one, that will flag up as a required task also.
