Hey guys, just found another problem, when checking the order status in the eCommerce area I have found quite a few Transactions not completed > Awaiting Payment. After a lot of playing around / testing I have found that if anyone goes to the Subscription page, selects a subscription, hits proceed it takes you to the description page. If they hit the proceed on that page it takes you to the payment page, during that step it says that it has been added to the database, but if they don't click the payment button you get a fictitious entry. The problem is that an order in this status in in limbo, the Actions drop down only gives one option to add a note. I really think that there should be an option to delete the transaction as it was never meant to be in the first place. Without this option I will have this transaction hanging around forever waiting for something that is never going to happen.

On a similar note if you did a lot of sandbox testing of paypal you are going to have a lot of other fictitious transactions so the ability to delete transactions would be useful here as well. Thanks

This will add the cancel option in, and make canceled orders sink to the bottom of the full order list.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
