Happy new year everyone,

Posting here because I didn't find how to attach a pdf to a support ticket.
Just tried to install 2.6.
Everything went fine until this appeared (see pdf file).

Any idea what went wrong ??

Thx
Marc

Hi,

It looks like the install failed once (for some other reason, such as a timeout), and you refreshed the stage it was at. Refreshing should not be a problem, but a minor bug has caused it not to work during the installation phase you refreshed on.

I suspect by now you will have closed the browser window you were installing from. However if you haven't, you can go back to stage 5 and refresh that, and then continue forward. If you have closed your window, you can start again, and the problem shouldn't reoccur.

This isn't going as well as it should. These are both similar little glitches to the previous one, and I've fixed them ready for the next release.

I recommend you completely empty the database you are installing to and delete all installation files and go through again. If it doesn't work again, I'll install for you if you like.

Well…

Emptied the ocp folder on the server, deleted the database and tried with a new one.

First install, 5ocp.pdf,
tried again from step 5, 6ocp.pdf.

(Chris, fell free to delete or move this thread if you think it doesn't belong in this forum.)

Have a nice weekend everyone  ;-)

This problem has been corrected. The last problem was related to files somehow getting read of the filesystem in an order other than they were written; this is something we haven't seen before, but resulted in a bug that shouldn't have existed. This will be fixed in the next release, but for anyone who's currently affected, here is an unofficial 2.6.1…

It contains fixes for all known bugs, but it hasn't passed through out quality assurance checks yet.

The new installer works like a dream.

(Just for the record, Chris (aka the Wizard of Ozp) found some time to fix my site, yesterday. Yesterday was sunday.)

Thx Chris.
