I've recently tweaked layout on my site etc, and I appear to have lost the expand button (See attachment). I need it to be able to close unwanted menus and make it look that little bit more tidy. Not sure why it did it before and not after, I dont think I've remove any code

The attachment clearly shows the 'expand' arrow, and the other one, 'contract', will also be in the same directory:
If you've 'lost' one or the other (shame on you for being so clumsy!), take a look in that directory to see that you haven't inadvertently deleted them. If you were using custom images, they will be in the '_custom' directory. If that doesn't resolve your predicament, please expand (no pun intended) the issue in this thread …
Take my advice. I'm not using it!

What I was meaning , the images are there nothing wrong with that side of things, but the ability to collapse and expand certain items isn't. For example, when you log in, you could collapse the member profile to just show 'my username' and therefore show less information. When I needed to log out I would click the arrow and it would 'expand' and u could click log out. Rather like the 'attachment' section (image shown previously) you could 'toggle' to show more or less of that section. It's the ability to do it rather than the images being present or not. Hope this helps you help me Roy

I know that's a bit of a pain if you really want it. A major goal of v9 was to allow easier customisation of how blocks look by representing the HTML used for the boxes directly within the individual templates (i.e. there for direct editing), but that meant removing the complexity the v8 standard boxes had. I wouldn't recommend using lots of blocks with expanders because it affects speed – even if contracted, they need to be generated and transferred for each page load, which is contrary to what people are expecting now for page load speeds. There's definitely a trend nowadays for having very lightweight HTML, so you probably only want it on one or two blocks. ROTFLMAO! I would probably have got there eventually, but Chris has answered your cry for help! I think he has also made an important point. Version 9 is DIFFERENT in many aspects from the previous versions, so if that is the version that you are taking for 'spin', then you already have your answer. However, assuming you are still using a flavour of 8.x.x, then Chris' first post points you at the correct setting.

If it IS version 9 you are working with, here's a 'down-and-dirty' fix: Change the code (original struck out - edits in red) in BLOCK_SIDE_PERSONAL_STATS.tpl from:
to:
That bit of editing will get you this … Any help?

Sorry, the site is currently down at the moment, hosting problems. I've reported to provider and awaiting a response. As soon as I get back onto site I will change that. Sorry again... :(
