On ocPortal version 9.0.19, server is Windoze Server 2008r2.

I am getting an error trying to insert a video. All credentials for the new files and existing videos in our ocPortal are the same. Attached is the stack trace.
» Download: insert video error.pdf (452 Kb, 53 downloads so far)

Seemingly related, uploading a file in “Downloads” gives this error, but the file is inserted.

Your download has been added successfully. You can also
add images to the download.
Editing the Downloads page after insert, get the same error, but again, the edits do stick.
All feedback appreciated.

It looks like the auto_increment setting has disappeared from the id field of the ocp_videos table somehow.

I remember someone else losing auto_increment this year, maybe that was you also and this is same issue.

As for the connect error, it isn't uncommon for a server to not be able to connect to itself unfortunately, for a variety of possible reasons. You can try triggering the "My server uses firewall and IP forwarding, or uses a Windows computer name instead of DNS" config option to see if that helps.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
