Chris has posted a security update to 7.1.6 today and it doesn't appear in admin panel. But he has posted the instructions to use the upgrader.php script.

Fixed. This really is one of those days…  :ninja:

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

From my ADMIN PANEL I am still getting "Cannot connect to the ocProducts server" on 2 of my 3 sites. the one that it does look like a live link is the one on my the live site

I was going to do the 'not-open' sites first to see how it goes before I try the live site.

Just tried doing the upgrade from the admin. When I launch the upgrader and authenticate, I get the following error:

Code

Critical error - bailing out

Remote server error when reading URL, http://ocportal.com/uploads/website_specific/ocportal.com/scripts/fetch_release_details.php?news_id=282&from_version=7.1.5.

Thanks, Chris.

That was quite some list of changes for a .x.x upgrade.
