I'm new to ocPortal. Now having weird error message when someone tries to join.

I am still trying to get my private site up and functional.  I think I have most my other issues resolved.  Here is my new issue. When someone tries to join, they fill in the information, click on proceed and then receives this error:

================

An error has occurred

Unfortunately a query has failed [INSERT INTO ocpo_f_members (m_username, m_pass_hash_salted, m_pass_salt, m_theme, m_avatar_url, m_validated, m_validated_email_confirm_code, m_cache_num_posts, m_cache_warnings, m_max_email_attach_size_mb, m_join_time, m_timezone_offset, m_primary_group, m_last_visit_time, m_last_submit_time, m_signature, m_is_perm_banned, m_preview_posts, m_notes, m_dob_day, m_dob_month, m_dob_year, m_reveal_age, m_email_address, m_title, m_photo_url, m_photo_thumb_url, m_views_signatures, m_auto_monitor_contrib_content, m_highlighted_name, m_pt_allow, m_pt_rules_text, m_language, m_ip_address, m_zone_wide, m_allow_emails, m_allow_emails_from_staff, m_password_change_code, m_password_compat_scheme, m_on_probation_until) VALUES ('Rhonda Newby', 'a32402fec3d6715f8bdb9e7ddbae8817', '20b75147d4734', '', 'themes/default/images/ocf_default_avatars/default_set/berries.png', 1, '97', 0, 0, 5, 1412275035, 'America/New_York', NULL, 1412275035, 1412275035, 4145, 0, 1, '', 3, 12, 1963, 1, 'rhondanewby@makedagroupinc.com', '', '', '', 1, 1, 0, '*', 4146, 'EN', '108.9.17.178', 1, 1, 0, '', '', NULL)] [Column 'm_primary_group' cannot be null] (version: 9.0.14, PHP version: 5.4.31, URL: /portal/index.php?page=join&type=step3&redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fmakedagroup.net%2Fportal%2Findex.php%3Fpage%3Dstart)

Here is the stack trace:

The staff have been provided a ‘stack trace’ which may help them diagnose the problem.

Help please.  I am at my wits end trying to figure this one out.  I have looked at the permissions. I have looked at the site settings in the configuration section.  I have looked at the member settings. I have tried creating a couple of accounts myself and this is the error I keep getting regardless of what browser I use or user information I enter.  I have probably looked at it so much that I'm missing something.  Can someone please help me with this?

Hello,

This suggests to me somehow the default usergroup has been deleted. This isn't supposed to be possible as ocPortal doesn't provide a delete option for that usergroup.

Have there been any odd changes made, like manual changes to the usergroups in the database, or wiping out the f_groups table in the database, or switching forum drivers manually in the configuration after installing?

Not by me. No.  Yesterday I called my ISP per your suggestion to have my other issue resolved regarding the mod_security issue.  They were able to resolve that quickly and I was able to make my changes in the Configuration section.  I had to give them access to my site for testing.  I hope they didn't do something with this.

I am looking at the usergroups and they all seem to be there.  I don't know this software well at all so I may be missing something.

If they did do something, how can I fix it?  I am willing to give you access to my site if it will help you to resolve.  You can reach me directly via my email, assuming you have it on the back end. If not, I am happy to send it to you.

I'm rereading your post above and honestly, I don't even know how to do that yet.  lol  I have not been in the MySql database this week at all and was able to create new users the day before yesterday.  The last user that was created by one of my members was on Monday if I'm not mistaken, and this was prior to calling GoDaddy regarding the Mod_security issue.

I do not even know how to wipe out any of the groups above without first looking to see how to do it, so no I have not done that.  All I've done was adjust the requirements for joining, which I have sense unchecked in an effort to resolve my current issue.  I did have it set to not allow a new member unless validated by me.  I also had it set to send me an email whenever a new member joined so I could manually add them to the groups I needed in order to provide them access to their own records.  That is really all I had done.

The only other thing I did yesterday after speaking with GoDaddy was set up the chron job so the scheduler would work in ocPortal and even then I followed the ocPortal step by step instructions provided therein to do so.  I am stumped.

Thanks for your help with this.  I was hoping to launch it to our group this evening.  Doesn't look like it's going to happen.  lol

Hi,

Please open a bug report ticket regarding the joining problem and I'll debug through it:
https://ocportal.com/site/tickets/ticket.htm?ticket_template=bug&cost=free

I'll need the GoDaddy login. I may also look at your CRON setup if I have the time, but please note that in the ticket or I may forget.

Chris, when you say the GoDaddy login, do you mean the one I created for them to log into my site?
