Hi,

Yes, working on this one. It's a bit of a bizarre problem, it might be a corruption inside our site database.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

No, another user had it too a few days ago editing a different post. It's bizarre because it's giving an error on a query saying there's something in that query that there isn't.

I think thats because when I hit the button to send, the process is started but never roundoff and While I handle the error message and got back the edited message isn't processed.
So nothing is transferred to the dbase, and possible thats why its empty.

Fixed. Was a bizarro issue in MySQL, but ultimately an ocPortal bug. It does exist in v6 but most people won't see it. This site has a lot of history in it's database.
