Every pageload gets this error suddenly:

I have the chat box in the left side panel, but this error message pops up even in the admin zone.

Line 88 of javascript_chat.js is
{var messages=ajax_result.childNodes;var message_container=document.getElementById("messages_window");var message_container_global=(message_container!=null);var _cloned_message,cloned_message;var current_room_id=-1;var tabElement;var flashable_alert=false;var username,room_name,room_id,event_type,member_id,tmp_element,rooms,avatar_url,participants;var id,timestamp;var first_set=false;var play_chat_sound;var newest_id_here=null,newest_timestamp_here=null;for(var i=0;i<messages.length;i++)

I've tried searching but I haven't found a solution to this. How can I fix this?

Hi,

This sounds like some kind of error is happening generating the AJAX response. Your browsers network console might show the AJAX request and some kind of server error with it.

This should patch around the error:

This was my thread, I made it before I remembered I had an account here from a long time ago.

I used the attachment, but the error message is the same. Except now it says error89 (although the error itself is still the same)

Using the latest firefox, found the error console. It led me back to line 89 of javascript_chat.js:

var messages=ajax_result.childNodes;var message_container=document.getElementById("messages_window");var message_container_global=(message_container!=null);var _cloned_message,cloned_message;var current_room_id=-1;var tabElement;var flashable_alert=false;var username,room_name,room_id,event_type,member_id,tmp_element,rooms,avatar_url,participants;var id,timestamp;var first_set=false;var play_chat_sound;var newest_id_here=null,newest_timestamp_here=null;for(var i=0;i<messages.length;i++)

but it gave no further details, besides saying the same as before

Error: ajax_result is undefined
