I found 6 emails that had been sitting in the queue for about 7 hours and hit the "send all queued" button. Instead of those email getting sent I received this stack trace…

Here is the stack trace:
Below is a stack trace revealing the state the software was in when the error occurred. If this represents a bug in the unmodified software, you may want to check ocPortal website for a fix, and if there isn't one, report this as a bug. Please note that merely posting a stack trace is not sufficient for us to solve your problem; the stack trace is just an aid that presents us with additional information. We still need to know the error message, what you tried to do, how you tried to do it, version numbers, and any other appropriate information. We apologise for this problem and if it's a bug we hope you will work with us so that we can fix it for you promptly.

The last time mails were sent out was 11 hours ago. Other than the 6 queued emails, nothing in the last 5 days has appeared in the logs.
Not sure if this is related… While doing a quick search on this email problem, I came across this post and noticed the "manage email queue" menu link is missing from my live site, but is there on my clone site. I'm not sure if it was there immediately after the live site upgrade this past Sunday early morning UTC time.[Edit: This turned out to be a false alarm…]

In Configurations>Site options:Email for the live site, do you have "Email debug mode" or "Email queue" checked. I think the link only appears in the menu when "Email queue" is checked.
My config settings are correct. Even went so far as to uncheck and save, then check and save again. There had been 130 emails sent out since the upgrade that have not appeared in the logs.
The only thing I have done to my site is making the two changes to the antispam mod that Chris posted earlier, but that was 3 hours after the queue plugged up.
I've been starting to notice some weird things happening to my site since the upgrade. I'm not sure though if they are something I've caused or its a combination of addons/antispam mod waking up the gremlins, or both.
At Chris's suggestion, I stayed on 8.0 since I was having no issues, and then installed antispam and seem not to have any issues (though I haven't been posting a lot).
I plan on keeping antispam active until the next release and then I am going to yank it to get back to the in-cycle upgrades and just hope that antispam drops in an official release soon.
I just tried ticking "Email debug mode" on my live site and the "Manage email queue" menu option appears; unticking removes it.
Sounds like they may be some conflict betwen the various changes you've made.

Yeah, I had upgraded to 8.0.1 before I realized it wasn't necessary. Major lack of sleep prior to the upgrade did me in I think.

Me too. Might as well work out any bugs before it hits official release. I haven't seen anything hit it yet so I don't know if its working or not.

Bob
I just tried also ticking "manage queue" and the menu item appeared so this turned out to be a non-issue.
If not, please let us know how we can do better (please make suggestions that are economically viable and scalable, not just requests to do more for free).
If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
