Error when editing news catergory

Hi all,
When edit or selecting a specific news category, I make amendments and I'm greeted with this error.
"Please check back over the form - you did not fill in all fields on the form correctly"
For arguments sake, I also tried preview without editing anything and get the same.

Also, when I insert the news via "Block construction assistant" no graphic is shown in the news itself.

eg:

I've been trying now for hours trying to get this sorted and cant seem to find what Im doing wrong...
Any ideas?

Cheers in advance

Could you have deleted the contents of the themes/default/images/newscats directory? My guess it is complaining about a lack of selected news image, because there were none left to choose - and then none showed.

I just checked this would happen, and it did - ocPortal's frontend validation got confused because it expected at least some choices to be there.

Further to this, I wonder if you'd added in new alternative newscats theme images, but perhaps not in whatever theme your cms zone is running with (anymore?) hence them not showing up.

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
